Folio Weekly launched in 1987 reporting on things happening in Jacksonville that may not have been getting mainstream attention. Now, according to their publisher, that reporting has come to a permanent end for the publication:

Folio Weekly had announced in late March that the publication would be going monthly starting in April, according to Florida Politics.
After seeing the significant decline in advertising dollars from entertainment venues, and restaurants, the decision was made to pull the plug completely.
