Stevie Nicks Says Fleetwood Mac Is Over...Forever

Stevie Nicks recently sat with MOJO Magazine for an exclusive interview where she sounded off on a variety of topics. One that caught our eye, was Stevie’s iron-clad resolve around the topic of the future of her iconic band Fleetwood Mac.

A lot of the conversation centered around Stevie’s life post-McVie’s passing, but when asked about the future of the Mac Attack, Stevie did not mince words:

Since McVie’s death Nicks has been adamant that she no longer considers Fleetwood Mac a going concern. “Without Christine, no can do,” she says. “There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work.”

The reality is, years before McVie succumbed to her stroke in 2022, Fleetwood Mac ceased to exist because of in-fighting between Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham - just like the good old days!

But now we know definitively that regardless of Buckingham’s status as a band member, Mac will never again reunite for a tour.

Congrats to all who them play during their storied career! For the rest of us, we’ll always (eventually) have the holograms & avatars!
