Few names in music carry the weight and historic significance of Clive Davis. He got his start as a lawyer and after joining the CBS legal representation his career would take a turn including Running CBS records, he would then found Arista, Laface, and J Records. He signed Aerosmith and Earth wind and Fire in the same year. That’s the ear for talent that this guy had. The same guy who brought us Janis Joplin gave us Notorious B.I.G. Steven Tyler gave him a shout out in the song “No Surprize” saying: “Old Clive Davis said he’s surely gonna make us a star, I’m gonna make you a star, just the way you are.” Clive Davis was a Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer and a Grammy winner. His roster of artists is uncontested. Clive was 94.

Tank

If you asked Tank why he got in to radio he will tell you “Some kids wanted to be Zach Morris. I wanted to be ‘Dr’ Johnny Fever.” There isn’t anything else in the world that Tank could see himself doing.
