What happens when Jacksonville’s own Lynyrd Skynyrd comes home for a full week of throw-downs? An unforgettable party, that’s what!

Last week, 96.9 The Eagle was thrilled to be right in the middle of an incredible number of events celebrating the legends themselves. From intimate Q&As to their new “Peach Home Alabama” whiskey and a massive hometown concert, we were there for all of it.

The On-Air Interview:

Johnny Van Zant, Taylor Van Zant, and Rickey Medlocke stopped by our on-air studios to chat with Tank about a very cool event they were hosting to benefit research of cavernous malformation.

The Q&A, and Meet ‘n Greet:

Next up we hosted an exclusive listeners-only Q&A session, followed by a Meet ‘n Greet. Dozens of lucky Eagle listeners got to hang out, chat with, and snag a pic with Johnny and Rickey of Lynyrd Skynyrd!

The Peach Home Alabama Signing:

The celebration continued as the band unveiled their brand new, Jacksonville-exclusive flavor of Hell House whiskey: Peach Home Alabama. The line was out the door, with fans lining the store to be the first to get their hands on it and have their bottles signed by the band. The energy was electric, and it’s safe to say this new flavor is a massive hit.

The Grand Finale: Lynyrd Skynyrd Rocks The Red White and Blue

Finally, it was time for the main event. On Saturday night, 96.9 The Eagle was proud to present Lynyrd Skynyrd Rocks The Red White and Blue at Daily’s Place! It was a perfect night of southern rock under the stars. The band sounded incredible, playing the hits that define our city and our station. What a show!
