The real reason Joan Jett and The Runaways hated Rush

Did you know that the all-girl rock band, the Runaways, has had a long-standing-decades-old beef with the guys in Rush?

Lead singer Cherie Currie was interviewed recently and she explains why.

For what it’s worth, Rush front man Geddy Lee commented on this story over a decade ago. In an interview with Prog magazine, Lee didn’t mince words:

I know they said that we were laughing at them when they played, but quite frankly they were too (crappy) to listen to. And 40 years later they have a story to tell about it. Who knew?
