Here’s a shocker to start your day: David Lee Roth released a cover of Tommy Tutone’s “867-5309/Jenny”, and he sounds fantastic.
Roth calls his version, “Jenny Jenny (That Telephone Song)”, but that shouldn’t subtract from his performance.
David’s cover is pretty true to the original, except he has acoustic guitar, and some harmonica. No doubt the producer also used a bevy of sweeteners on DLR’s voice - but it all comes together in a great package that you can hear below:
