When you see Steven Tyler hanging letters on the Hollywood Bowl marquee with Ross Halfin, you assume the worst is behind Aerosmith and they are finally figuring out a way back onto a live stage. After the way that farewell trek got cut short and then scrapped entirely, seeing those dates pop up felt like a genuine second chance.

Turns out, we’ll have to wait a bit longer...
Should’ve known letting Steven do the marquee would take a few takes… More tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/bsV1CMUfDD

Joe Perry had hinted last year that another gig wasn’t totally off the table, but seeing them actually mess around with a marquee makes it feel real. Now they’ve dropped a fresh version of the tease with a heavy hint that more details are dropping tomorrow morning, and honestly, it is hard not to feel a little cautious optimism. If they are actually putting together a couple of nights at the Bowl with some special guests, it might just be time to believe we haven’t seen the last of them on a stage.
