Lindsey Bucking Finally Breaks Silence on Fleetwood Mac Firing

During a solo gig Friday night, Lindsey Buckingham addressed his dismissal from Fleetwood Mac.

He said, quote, "I have sadly taken leave of my band of 43 years, Fleetwood Mac. This was not something that was really my doing or my choice.”

The band announced in April that it would be touring with two new members — Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Neil Finn of Crowded House.

Buckingham, who joined the group in 1974, was considered one of the most integral parts of the band along with ex-girlfriend Stevie Nicks.
