Eighteen people were arrested in connection with the crime ring. The ages of the suspects ranged from 15 to 20, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

About $23,000 worth of items were reportedly stolen at chain retail stores Thursday and Friday, LAPD said, according to the AP.

LAPD said that they have impounded about eight vehicles in connection with the investigation.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department worked with the LAPD on the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information has been released.
