A cat named Lucky is recovering and nursing her kittens after having her broken leg removed.
The injured feline was found last month with her three kittens and was taken to the Ottawa Humane Society, the Ottawa Citizen reported.

Officials believe she might have been hit by a car. The bone had pierced the cat’s skin. An X-ray confirmed her leg could not be fixed, so it was removed.
“We cannot say for certain what might have caused her injury or how long she had been suffering for,” Dr. Shelley Hutchings, veterinarian at the humane society, told the Ottawa Citizen. “But we are very happy that she and her little family are safe.”
Her kittens are named Star, Charm and Shamrock.
