The tech giant announced a new feature Thursday that allows users to hum or whistle a tune to find out the name and artist of a song.

Users can take advantage of the feature, only available on mobile devices, via the most recent version of the Google app or by using the Google Search widget on Apple devices.

Just tap the microphone icon and say “what’s this song?” or click the “Search a song” button.

The tough part is users have to be able to hum, whistle or sing a song’s melody for 10-15 seconds before Google registers results.

If there’s enough audio registered, Google’s software uses a machine learning algorithm to identify potential song matches, providing song information, including available music videos and remixes.

According to Google executive Aparna Chennapragada, people ask Google, “What song is playing?” almost 100 million times each month.
