The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called out to a house on State Route 88 in Mecca Township around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday after a caller reportedly found two deceased people. According to WKBN, the deceased people were identified as Amber Barry, 35, and Eddie Parthemer, 55. Both were found dead on the front porch.

Investigators believe that there is no foul play involved but believe that a possible overdose led to their deaths, according to WKBN.

The caller told investigators that she went through a window in the house where she was able to find their 3-year-old son, according to WFMJ.

Major Tony Villanueva reportedly told WFMJ that the house was in “deplorable conditions” and that the house was cold since there was no heat.

Villanueva said that they believe that the boy was alone inside the house for about 24 to 48 hours, according to WFMJ. He was taken to the hospital and has since been released to other relatives.

The Trumbull County Coroner is working to determine the cause of death for Barry and Parthemer, according to WFMJ.

No further information has been released.
