QUICK LINKS: How to make a COVID-19 vaccine appointment in the Jacksonville area

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Counties in the Jacksonville area are beginning to open up appointments for health care workers and individuals ages 65 and older to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

In many cases, the appointments to get the vaccine need to be made online. Here are the links you need to utilize to make appointments or request the vaccine:

DUVAL COUNTY

The Florida Department of Health - Duval County announced that new appointments will be added through the online system every Thursday at 5 p.m.

Appointments for vaccines at the Prime Osborn Convention Center can no longer be made by phone. Only online appointments are available.

The link will change each week. To get to the new link, you will need to visit this site: http://duval.floridahealth.gov/alerts.html

In addition to the Florida Department of Health - Duval County, the City of Jacksonville is also offering vaccines. Two senior centers in Duval County have been converted from coronavirus testing to coronavirus vaccination sites.

The Mandarin Senior Center (located at 3848 Hartley Road) and the Lane Wiley Senior Center (located at 6710 Wiley Road) began giving out COVID-19 vaccinations on Monday, Jan. 11. For more information on that program, click here.

These city-run sites are funded by the city, which is why only Duval residents are able to get vaccinated there.

However, at the Prime Osborn Convention Center, there is no residency requirement, as this site is federally funded.
