Gateway Mall will stop offering first doses of Pfizer vaccine

Gateway Mall vaccination site to close permanently in late May

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Tuesday is the last day the Gateway Mall vaccination site will offer the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

Anyone who has received the first dose of the vaccine are scheduled to return to the vaccination site in three weeks to get the second dose. Second doses of the Pfizer vaccine and the Johnson and Johnson vaccine will continue to be administered until the site closes.

The site, which has been opened since March 3, has administered more than 80,000 vaccines.

The site is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. No appointment is necessary to get a vaccine. The site will close permanently on May 25.
