As a child of the 80’s some IP are held saredly to my bosom. G.I. Joe, Transformers, Thundercats, TMNT and He-Man. As with any good idea Hollywood has bludgeoned these shows in to submission as mediocre movies at best (Transformers) and utter embarrassments at worst (GI Joe). However; I feel the cold hand of cautious optimism creeping in as I watched the first He-Man trailer (below). All I want from these movies is a little loyalty to the source material. People try too hard to put their own stamp on stuff. Don’t. Just tell us a story in the style we’ve proven we like. That’s it. Not that hard.
