I’ve been teaming up with Hubbard house for a little over a year now and I got to tell you one of the most rewarding things I’ve done so far in my career is to work with these people. It’s an amazing feeling giving back especially to A cause that you are passionate about and this is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. Hubbard house gives people a chance to restart. It’s a new beginning for families that need a place to go so that they can figure out their next step and sometimes that happens during the holidays and if it does Hubbard house makes sure that they have a bright cheerful and beautiful holiday season with their survivor store. The survivor store is the opportunity for both children and parents to “shop” for Christmas gifts. It gives them the opportunity to pick out what they want to give and it’s a great source of pride for both the parents and the children it’s an amazing idea and place. This year I need your help I want to help stock the store with gifts for the parents we’ve already got bunches of toys for the kids but let’s do something special for the people who have sacrificed everything for their children to have a future. Think about the kind of stuff that you want like perhaps a robe some slippers maybe a gift basket, lotion, heating pad anything that you as a parent would find useful or fun we can give these parents. We even have a place to drop it. The folks at Adamec Harley-Davidson on Baymeadows have given us a whole afternoon to collect gifts to give. I’ll be live from 2:00 to 7:00pm Monday the 15th and we would love to see you drop off a present or two. Or just come to say hi either way we appreciate you. Happy holidays and I hope to see you soon.
Here is an interview with Dr. Gail Patin CEO of Hubbard House talking about the holiday store and the kind of things we need!
