The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach will host a full moon beach hike each month on the date of the full moon each month.Join a Ranger for this full moon beach hike! All ages welcome, minors must be accompanied by an adult. The hike will leave from the beachside day use pavilion and include fun and interesting moon facts and the effects of the moon on the tidal ecosystem. Please bring water and dress for the weather. Bring a camera for beautiful photo opportunities! The hike will be less than a mile long. Park admission fees will apply. Fees are as follows: $5 per carload, $4 per individual in a vehicle, or $2 per biker/walker.This program will be held on the following dates: Friday, October 18, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. Moonrise is set for 6:42 p.m. ; ; Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Mooonrise is set for 5:44 p.m. ; Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 5:15 p.m. Moonrise is set for 6:03 p.m.
