“Salute to the Volunteer” in Keystone Heights during the annual Our Country Day celebrations.
The Keystone Heights Our County Day July 4th festivities begin this year on Saturday, June 29th; and activities go all day Thursday, July 4th.
Our County Day celebrates this year’s theme, Salute to the Volunteer.
On Saturday evening, June 29th, local tradition is the street dance in its new location. This year’s street dance will be held at the Keystone Airport, located of S.R. 100 north of Keystone Heights, from 7 11 p.m. There will be lots of food and beverage vendors plus rides and games for the kids and music, music, music to keep you dancing until (nearly) midnight. This year’s street dance features local recording artist “Wreckless”. They play high energy music that includes tasteful covers, powerful vocals, and creative originals.
On Thursday, July 4, Our Country Day gets off to a running start early Wednesday morning, with registration beginning at 7 a.m. and the 5K marathon beginning at 8 a.m. Last year, the 5K featured over 50 runners.

Arts, crafts, food and beverage vendors will be featured in the Keystone Heights Nature Park and around city hall from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. live music will also be featured throughout the day. And don’t miss Keystone’s other annual race, the baby crawl, which begins at 10 a.m. in Keystone’s Theme Park behind city hall.
The Our Country Day parade begins at 11 a.m. In years past it has always featured a marching band, floats, bicycles, Shriners= buggies, bicycles, beauty queens, tractors, clowns and more surprises. Prizes are awarded to units for such categories as closest to theme, commander’s choice, the best marching band and others.
At 1 p.m. at the park, behind City Hall join in on some summer fun and participate in our New Event, a watermelon eating contact.
Fireworks will be at Keystone Beach Park again this year. Due to crowd size restrictions, visitors should arrive early. Weather and a burn ban permitting, there will be live music by “Wreckless”, and the Our Country Day will have food and beverages for sale. Entry into the beach park will require each spectator to must have an armbandCno exceptionsCand this year armbands will cost $1. Armbands will go to the first 4,000 buyers, the absolute limit to entries to the beach park, so get yours early. Armbands will be available beginning June 1, and can be bought at city hall, Mallards Dollarama, Genesis Fitness and other Keystone Heights Location. Fireworks will begin at dusk, weather and burn ban permitting.

The Keystone Heights Our County Day celebration is a 44 year tradition that’s fun for all. Even if you’ve never been to Keystone Heights, come back home to the July 4 the celebration of American independence we call Our Country Day.
