Location: Pugh Hall Ocora Calendar: UF Calendar Contact: kbaron76@ufl.edu - Kevin Baron Description: Bob Graham Center for Public Service presents David Campbell and his discusion on "Why Religion Matters in American Politics".David Campbell brings his insight and years of research to the Bob Graham Center to discuss how religion influences and plays a role in American politics. Dr. Campbell will discuss the influence of the Christian right, the changing demographics of the US, and what the political future is more likely to look like. Dr. Campbell tackles the issue of Mitt Romney's Mormonism and the role it played in the last election, as well as historical trends related to candidates' religious backgrounds (Kennedy, for example).
