Good Morning! Thanks for your interest in attending the Instrumental Insemination taught by Sue Cobey, hosted by the Honey Bee Research and Extension Laboratory in Gainesville, Florida. Please read this email carefully for instructions regarding application, fees, equipment purchase, and registration. Once classes are filled, I will send out information on travel/lodging.  Questions regarding registration, general class set-up & operations and the Gainesville area (travel & lodging) should be directed to Jeanette jklopchin@ufl.edu. -Attached is the AI course application. Please fill and return to me (Jeanette @ jklopchin@ufl.edu). Space is limited and interest is high. Application will determine placement in course.-Applications are due by December 21, 2012.-There are two identical sessions being offered: M-W Mar 11- 13 and Th-Sat Mar 14-16. Please note your availability (preference) for the session on the app.-Registration fee is $850. You will ALSO be required to bring/purchase your own insemination device. Microscopes are provided for use during the class.-Attached is the HBIS price list for the AI device and accessories for your consideration. Devices must be ordered directly though Sue (Scobey@mac.com) before the end of January to ensure their arrival for the course.  Instrument upgrades and repairs can also be arranged if you have an older instrument.The ease of use and repeatability depends upon the precision and quality of instrumentation. Questions about devices and  ordering should be directed to Sue Cobey Scobey@mac.com -Approved applicants will be emailed a link to register, whereby you can pay via credit card or by sending a check (payments will be due by Feb.1  2013). Thanks for your interest, this is sure to be a great course! HBIS Price List  2013 II Applications (for your reference)  Please note, this cost if for the course instruction, use of microscope, light, and virgin queens and drones.
