Tucker Description: The goal of The People's Conference to Promote Health and Eliminate Health Disparities is to provide culturally diverse patients, caregivers, community members, health care providers, health promotion professionals, and health researchers opportunities to (a) teach each other ways to provide or obtain culturally sensitive, patient-centered health care and (b) learn about evidence-based strategies and programs to increase health literacy, prevent and overcome common physical, mental, and sexual health problems, and help eliminate health disparities in racial/ethnic minority and underserved communities.
