The Public Trust Environmental Legal Institute of Florida presents "The Night Sky" ~ an Astronomy Docent Presentation. Join us on Wednesday, January 23rd at the Beaches Library, 600 Third Street, Neptune Beach. The program starts at 7:00 pm and admission is FREE. The winter sky in Northeast Florida is the most magnificent of any time of the year. During these cold, clear nights we look up and see lots of stars and configurations. Experts tell us there are literally billions and billions of stars -- diamond dust -- in our universe -- how does that make you feel? Guest Docent, Yvonne James, President of the Northeast Florida Astronomical Society (NFAS), will have a wonderful presentation showing dazzling images of the constellation Orion from the Hubble Space Telescope. The great myth of Orion, the hunter, will be told in story form. Weather permitting, following the presentation inside the library, we will look up at Orion in the library parking lot using high powered telescopes. The Public Trust Environmental Legal Institute of Florida is located at 2029 North Third Street, Jacksonville Beach, Florida 32250 Contact Andrew Miller, Executive Director, 904.247.1972 extension 418 or adm@publictrustlaw.org
