We invite you to experience a piece of history at one of Floridas first state parks. Learn the old-fashioned way of making cane syrup. Take a walk back in time and witness how to loom and spin weave. Moonshine simmers a pungent brew and Civil War re-enactors pose proudly by rustic campsites and cannons. Join the Florida Park Service Alumni as they demonstrate open fire and cast iron cooking. Well have vendors making root beer floats and kettle corn, and others selling their handmade crafts. Local organizations will be selling a variety of foods and goodies ranging from hamburgers and hot dogs to homemade ice cream. This event is sponsored by The Gold Head Associates; a non profit friends group that helps to promote and enhance programs at Gold Head Branch State Park. $5 per vehicle, up to eight people.
