Though zealots wildly proclaim “the end is nigh,” and Hollywood films urge us to battle hordes of vampires and zombies, we cannot be sure how the world will really end. It may bring horrific natural disasters, hostile alien or robot invasions, giant meteors, or the cataclysmic breakdown of technology. A national juried ceramic exhibition, Phenomena of the End, brings evidence of the variety of doomsday interpretations that lay before us. The impending doom of Armageddon inspired relics, exposés, and survival kits for the aftermath. Don your tinfoil hat, and proceed to envision the End as seen through the timeless medium of ceramics.
