We also realize that you feel a relentless pressure to stay current and keep up with new meeting trends and ideas. That's why we think of our PYM LIVE events as a laboratory designed to spark new ideas and ways of doing things. We're constantly tinkering with our format, education, meeting tech and engagement strategies so that when you attend, you're getting the chance to experience new things that might work for your next conference. You won't find lectures, you'll find group challenges and interactive education. You won't experience a traditional trade show, you'll be able to speed-date our partners so you can find out who truly fits your needs. You won't just hear about cutting-edge technology, you'll be able to see how and why it works.Speaking of technology, we'll be using a Topi conference app that's embedded with an augmented reality scanner. Our educational panel of meeting industry experts will take place via a Google+ Hangout that we'll be broadcasting live to remote pods. These pods will also get to participate in the group challenge. Prior to the event, we'll send you videos explaining how to make the most of these elements, as well as the speed dating portion of our trade show. We'll also be doing an on-site tech orientation a half-hour before the event starts. So come early to register and get plugged in! The Future of Meetings: What's New, What's Now, What's Next? We've assembled a group of meeting industry leaders to join us virtually to discuss the future of meetings. In each city we've worked to bring a diverse panel that covers the planning, supply and hotel perspective. We'll address your burning questions during our panel discussion. Then later, during the group challenge, you'll have a chance to share what your vision for the future of meeting is (and win a fun prize in the process!).Panelists vary from city to city. The educational panel at this event will include*:James Rota and Christy Lamagna, CMP, SMM, CTSM (Strategic Meetings & Events) - Meeting Design, Advocacy, Right vs. Left-Brain PlanningTracy Stuckrath (Thrive! Help us Clean the World! At every event in 2013, weâll be collecting unused soaps and donations for Clean the World, an amazing organization thatâs transforming whatâs wasted in this industry into lifesaving gifts for people in need of proper sanitation. Read more about the fantastic work they do or attend PYM LIVE to hear how you can make a difference at your events.
Become a PYM All-Star!Can't make it to the show? We can help you organize a remote viewing group of 10 or more and create a virtual geo-fence around your location so you and your âpodâ can participate with our in-person audience and educational content, no matter where youâre located. If you tag your tweets and images with #yaypym you can join our real-time conversation on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. Throughout the year, we invite you to continue sharing your ideas, images and stories with us here as well as in our LinkedInand G+ communities. FAQs What is a "qualified meeting planner"?Because we also want to provide value to our exhibiting partners, we define this as a person who plans at least one (and hopefully more) off-site meetings a year. We don't discriminate against students and aspiring planners, though! But if you are a student or someone just breaking into the industry, you might want to start with our Virtual Attendee option. Otherwise, you won't be able to enjoy a large portion of the event.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?Meeting planners, teachers and students: Vanessa Jatho would be happy to answer any questions you have. Are you interested in exhibiting? Then Eileen Gilbert is whom you should contact.Â
Is my registration/ticket transferrable? If you find yourself unable to attend, but you have a friend who is a qualified meeting planner, let us know and we will honor the ticket you purchased when they bring it with them.
What is the refund policy? We're meeting planners too, we realize that sometimes life just happens. If you need to cancel, let Claudia Madigan know and we'll refund the cost of the ticket, minus the Eventbrite fees. If they let us waive those, we'll refund the full amount of the purchase.Â
