Jeannette Rizzi will be hosting a Charity Softball Event on Sunday January 20th, 2013. The event will be held at the Alachua Rec. Center. From 1pm-2pm there will be a Home Run Derby. Both men and women are welcome to enter. Ages 16 and up are permitted. Each contestant must purchase a $10 entry ticket. From 2pm until 6pm there will be a mini-softball tournament. There is a 4 team limit. Each player on the team must purchase a $20 entry ticket. Shirts will be given to each team when they arrive at the field. All games will have a 60 minute limit. 2 games are guaranteed. Teams can be co-ed and we ask that the players are 16 years-old and up. All proceeds from the event, including the concessions, will go to the Friends of the Alachua County Crisis Center in loving memory of Katie Nicole Wilson.
