Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE) is a premier training program in entrepreneurship and small business management. This conference is a three-day entrepreneurship experience (Thursday, January 10 - Saturday, January 12) where delegates are exposed to successful entrepreneurs, CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and leaders in the government. V-WISE helps women veterans find their passion and learn the business savvy skills necessary to turn an idea or start-up into a growing venture. V-WISE is offered by the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University in cooperation with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and is operated by SU’s Institute for Veterans and Military Families. The conference will cover topics such as: business concepts, profit models, guerilla marketing, financing, human resources, and legal challenges. This conference is part of a three-phase experience including an online 15-day self-study focused on basic skills of entrepreneurship, the conference, and supportive community-level resources. Applications will be accepted from all women veterans, active duty and female spouses/partners of military personnel interested in learning about entrepreneurship and starting, running or growing a business.
