Forest Stewardship Videoconference: The Green Value of Your WoodsDecember 12, 2012; 1:00 to 4:00 PM Eastern Time
(12:00 to 3:00 PM Central)Broadcast to UF-IFAS Extension facilities across Florida. Select your location when registering.
Get a more complete picture of the value of your woods! Florida's private forest lands provide many economic and environmental (or green) benefits to society. Now we have some dollar values numbers to go with these green values. University of Florida faculty and graduate students recently completed a project identifying and quantifying the economic values of the ecosystem services, or “green value”, provided by lands enrolled in Florida’s Forest Stewardship Program. Join us to get a more complete picture of the value of your woods. We will also get a review and update on greenbelt assessment policy for property taxes.
