Project Thailand is an interdisciplinary team of medical students, physicians, and other health professionals that travel each year to provide much-needed care to underserved populations in northern Thailand.
Our mission is to provide essential health services to the children of the Akha people. These children are the future of that community, and it is our wish to see that the Akha have a bright future.
Project Thailand is organized by both medical students and faculty members of the University of Florida's College of Medicine. For ten days each spring, the group travels to northern Thailand and provides primary care services to the Akha people. For the rest of the year, we fund raise to support our ongoing mission.
